2. What the App does

Sacred Bump is a Christian pregnancy companion app. It helps you track your pregnancy week by week, reflect on your emotions through Scripture, log physical notes, and keep a pregnancy journal. The App does not provide medical advice.

3. What information we collect

Personalization data you provide

• First name (used for the in-app greeting)
• Last menstrual period date (used only to calculate your pregnancy week)
• Number of existing children (optional, for personalization)
• Due date display preference (exact date or birth window)

Daily check-in and journal content

• Emotional state entries (mood selections and subcategories you log)
• Physical tracking entries (weight, nausea, energy, sleep, body discomfort, blood values, free text — if you choose to log them)
• Journal entries (personal notes and reflections you write)

Subscription data

• Subscription status (managed via RevenueCat; device-based, no account required)

Technical data

• Basic device/app data needed to operate the service (e.g., timestamps, technical logs via Sentry)

The App does not require account registration. Personal data is stored locally on your device. We do not send marketing emails.

4. How we use your information

• To calculate and display your current pregnancy week
• To personalize your in-app experience (e.g., greeting by name)
• To store your daily check-ins, physical notes, and journal entries
• To manage subscription access via RevenueCat
• To monitor app stability and fix errors (via Sentry)

Physical tracking data is logged only. The App does not interpret, analyze, or provide feedback on any physical data you enter.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process personal data under these legal bases:

• Contract (to provide the App's features to you)
• Legitimate interests (security, error monitoring, service reliability)
• Consent (only when required by law for specific processing)

6. Services and processors we use

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription purchases and entitlements. RevenueCat processes subscription transaction data on behalf of the App. No account or email is required — subscriptions are device-based.

Sentry

We use Sentry for error tracking and crash reporting. Sentry may collect technical diagnostic data (e.g., device type, OS version, stack traces) to help us identify and fix bugs.

Firebase

We use Firebase (Google) services for backend infrastructure (e.g., data storage and sync where applicable).

These providers may process personal data on our behalf as "processors." Please review their respective privacy policies for details about their processing.

7. Data storage and retention

App data (check-ins, journal entries, personalization settings) is stored locally on your device. We retain any server-side data while your app is in use. If you uninstall the App or request deletion, locally stored data is removed from your device. Contact us at m.budziat@gmx.de to request deletion of any server-side data.

8. Health-related data

The App allows you to optionally log physical information (weight, nausea, energy, sleep, blood values, etc.). This data is used solely for your personal tracking within the App. The App does not interpret this data, does not provide medical advice, and does not share this data with third parties.

Sacred Bump is not a medical device and does not replace professional medical care. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical guidance during pregnancy.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Delete your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent (where applicable)

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to protect information against unauthorized access or disclosure.

12. Children

The App is intended for adults who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. It is not directed at children under the age required by local law to consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated policy.
